Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav visited Burhanpur on Wednesday, where he interacted with industrialists at the Parmanand Govindjiwala Auditorium and announced plans to organize an Investors Summit in the Nimar region. Arriving at around 10:30 am from the Renuka Mata helipad, the Chief Minister heard concerns and demands raised by local industrialists. He said the government would honour its commitment to hold the summit in Nimar, adding that the proposed Traders’ Welfare Board, discussed in the Cabinet, would eventually be implemented at the district level. Later, Dr Yadav attended the BJP’s ‘Vijay Utsav’ (Victory Celebration). In a lighter moment, he was seen sitting on stage eating jhalmuri and sharing it with other leaders. Highlighting economic growth in the region, he noted that Burhanpur’s trade has doubled from ₹400 crore to ₹800 crore. He also announced that the government has released the first instalment of ₹350 crore for the Nimbola Industrial Cluster. Emphasizing broader national progress, he said over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty, reflecting the government’s aim to improve lives. He added that the swearing-in of the next Chief Minister in West Bengal would coincide with the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, remarking that the state was now moving forward in alignment with the rest of the country.
