For the first time, amidst the gas shortage, a team seized 77 empty commercial gas cylinders simultaneously on Monday. This success was achieved by chasing a gas vehicle. As the CM’s program was nearby, the team had gone to inspect arrangements at a wheat procurement center, when this vehicle appeared to them in the Pinto Park industrial area. So far, a total of 200 small and large cylinders have been seized from 9 locations. District Supply Controller Arvind Singh Bhadauria said that he had gone to inspect the procurement center near the warehouse in Maharajpura Industrial Area, Pinto Park. Just then, a vehicle full of cylinders emerged from there. When they chased it, a large number of cylinders were seen in the premises of Chocobury Nutrition Private Limited. The management stated that they have two commercial gas connections, one from Mau Indane and one from Raja Gas. Bhadauria said that when asked, they were not shown the connection documents. For this reason, the team seized all 77 commercial gas cylinders kept unauthorizedly. These have been handed over to the Raja Gas dealer. Demand for weddings now decreasing Applications for gas demand in wedding households have decreased. On Monday, only 8 applicants arrived. The gas shortage has been ongoing since February. The Food Department investigated 9 locations based on various information over the last 80 days. A total of 200 domestic and non-domestic cylinders have been seized. Further proceedings are currently underway.
