Two constables from Indore’s Rajendra Nagar police station were hit by a car late Friday night. One constable is critically injured in the accident. Both are undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The car driver is also a police personnel, who was apprehended from the spot. According to police, constables Pramod Tyagi and Bhooralal Jamle were on duty late Friday night at Beat Bijlapur. Their duty was from 10 PM to 8 AM. During patrol on bike, both were standing near Durga Nagar AB Road, when a speeding Swift car hit them. Due to the impact, both were thrown far away. Bhooralal Jamle suffered injuries to his stomach, head and legs, and is in critical condition. Pramod Tyagi has injuries to his legs. Crowd gathered, helped the policemen After the incident, people gathered there. They immediately helped both the policemen. People pulled out the injured constables and informed the police. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and admitted both to a private hospital, where treatment is ongoing. Car driver being interrogated by police Police said that the car which hit the constables was being driven by policeman Vijay Chauhan posted at DRP Line. He was intoxicated and was caught at the spot. Currently, he is being interrogated.
