He informed that there is a 20 to 30-year-old settlement in Jatkhedi. That means, families have been living here for so many years. Now, they have suddenly been given eviction notices. Some houses have been demolished, but the families have not been permanently rehabilitated. If permanent rehabilitation does not happen soon, a major agitation will be launched. A protest has been registered by visiting the spot regarding this. Officials have also been spoken to. Slum Cell President Anuj Nikesh Chauhan and District President Rohit Rajput were also present. Roofs suddenly snatched from over families’ heads Leader said that snatching the roof suddenly from poor families who already have limited resources is highly condemnable. Making children, women, and the elderly homeless in this manner is a shameful situation for any sensitive government administration. Displacing the poor in the name of development cannot be accepted. Action is being taken to remove houses due to road construction.
