Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) star Heinrich Klaasen has made the news quite consistently for his impressive performances in IPL 2026. But this time, he has made the spotlight for off-field reasons, for a confrontation with a fan. Widespread reports have claimed that Klaasen is the player in the video. Bhaskar English does not authenticate the video. Klaasen has been among the highest run-scorers this season and has been one of the reasons for SRH’s impressive run. The South African had retired from international cricket in 2025. Heinrich Klaasen confronts fan- ‘I promise you’ll be on the floor’ In a viral video on social media, Klaasen was seen asking the fan not to take pictures of him and his family. According to the clip, the man had his camera out and the SRH star, otherwise known for his calm demeanour, appeared to lose his cool and speak in a confrontational tone. “Don’t do it, sorry. Listen to me very carefully, don’t do it, okay,” Klaasen said to the fan. The fan subsequently congratulated Klaasen for SRH’s success so far, saying, “Your team played very well.” But the cricketer was in no mood to be pacified. The 34-year-old threatened the fan with severe consequences if he clicked him and his family. “Don’t take a photo. If I turn around and you take a photo of me and my family, I promise you will be on the floor, okay. So turn around and walk away, please,” the wicketkeeper-batter warned. “Boss, listen to me very carefully, stop it, okay. I said to you, no photos. This is my family, okay, so put your camera away,” he added. Klaasen got married to Sone Martins in 2020. The couple has a daughter named Laya, who was born in 2022. SRH will next be in action at home when they host KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) on 3 May.
