On Jabalpur-Damoh Road, a speeding truck crushed a scooter rider on Wednesday morning. The youth died on the spot in the accident. After the incident, local people chased and stopped the truck and informed the police. According to information, around 10 AM, a truck (MP09 HH 3760) going from Damoh to Jabalpur hit a scooter rider coming from the opposite direction near the State Bank in Patan Nagar. After the collision, the youth got stuck in the rear wheel of the truck and was dragged for about 50 meters. Police reached the spot, seized the truck, and took the driver into custody. Investigation into the matter is ongoing. Said to be a resident of Seoni district According to the police, the youth’s identity could not be established. Based on documents, he is said to be a resident of Seoni district, while the scooter (MP 49 ZG 9251) is registered in Narsinghpur district. Initially, his name is being reported as Ram Singh. Efforts are underway to contact his family for confirmation, but the call has not been received yet. Accident due to lack of speed breaker Local residents say that vehicles pass at high speed at this intersection in Patan due to the absence of a speed breaker, leading to accidents. People have repeatedly demanded the construction of a speed breaker here, but no action has been taken so far, causing accidents to continue.
