Tavera–tractor-trolley crash in MP leaves 5 dead:6 injured as wedding attendees en route to home

At least five people were killed and six others injured after a Tavera vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trolley loaded with grain on the Narmadapuram–Pipariya State Highway. The accident took place near Anchalkheda around 1 am on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. According to reports, all the victims were residents of Mahendrawadi and Makhannagar. They were returning from a wedding ceremony in Budhni when the accident occurred. Those injured have been identified as co-passengers in the Tavera, with the number of injured estimated between six and seven. Police, with the help of local villagers, rushed the injured to the district hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. The bodies of the deceased will undergo post-mortem examination in Narmadapuram later today. Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the collision. Further investigation is underway.
