In Indore’s Malharganj police station area, a traffic police constable committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. After information about the incident came to light on Saturday, police reached the spot and started investigation. So far, no suicide note has been found from the scene. According to Additional DCP Sumit Kerketta, traffic constable Ankit Tomar (29), who lived on the first floor of the police quarters at Chauthi Paltan, took this step. Even after searching the room, no suicide note was found. In such a situation, the reasons for suicide could not be clarified. Ankit was a resident of UP As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers and the FSL team reached the spot. The team inspected the scene and collected evidence. Ankit, son of Dharampal Singh Tomar, was a resident of Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh. The body has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. The deceased’s uncle lives in Indore and is also at the hospital. Committed suicide after returning from duty According to preliminary information, Ankit Tomar had been selected in Delhi Police and was going to join in 3-4 months. He was unmarried and was handling clerical work at the ACP Traffic East office. Police have received information from colleagues that Ankit returned home from duty around 10 PM on Friday night. After that, this incident occurred during the night itself. There has also been mention of not getting leave, however, this has not been confirmed yet.
