In Bhind’s Mihona police station area, a house in Gudha Jaitpura village caught fire late at night due to a short circuit. Most of the household belongings were reduced to ashes in the incident. The fire broke out at the residence of local villager Suger Singh Kushwah. The fire started after a spark emerged from an electrical cable due to a short circuit, which quickly turned into a massive blaze. The flames engulfed stored fodder, wheat and other household items inside the house. Within moments, appliances such as a refrigerator, washing machine and television were also destroyed. Seeing the flames, nearby villagers rushed to the spot and began efforts to control the fire by throwing water. With their prompt response and effort, the fire was eventually brought under control after some time, but by then significant damage had already been done. It is also reported that livestock tied inside the house were affected in the incident. After receiving information, Mihona police reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Locals expressed anger over the fire brigade not reaching in time. Preliminary estimates suggest losses worth several lakhs of rupees.
