BJP has issued a notice to Pritam Lodhi, MLA from the Pichhore Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, by state party president Hemant Khandelwal. He has asked the MLA to submit his reply within three days. Following the controversy over remarks made against a police officer, BJP national president Nitin Navin had sought a report from the Madhya Pradesh unit on Tuesday. The notice was issued after that development. Pritam Lodhi, however, said he has not yet received any official notice and will respond only after receiving it. MLA’s remark: “SDOP, this is not your father’s Karera” The controversy began after MLA Pritam Lodhi’s son, Dinesh Lodhi, allegedly rammed a Thar vehicle into five people. Following the incident, the MLA reportedly told SDOP Ayush Jakhad, “SDOP, this is not your father’s Karera. I will come to Karera and even contest elections. If your father has the courage, stop me. Officers should stay within their limits and work within the law. We also know the law.” Ministers and MLAs are tearing apart the law Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar said the BJP used to claim that Congress protects criminals, but now ministers and MLAs themselves are violating the law. He alleged that the BJP is turning into a “party of goons.” MLA Lodhi had said this to SDOP In another video that surfaced, MLA Pritam Lodhi is seen threatening SDOP Ayush Jakhad. He allegedly said he would bring 10,000 people and fill the SDOP’s bungalow in Karera with cow dung. He also said his punch, which earlier weighed 2.5 kg, has now become 250 kg and that he would make the officer “uncomfortable.” He further questioned the SP, asking who was issuing instructions from Delhi—whether it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, or Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia—and why such instructions were being sent only to him when party leadership existed in Bhopal. Son hit bike and women with Thar on April 16 On April 16 at around 7:30 am, a youth named Sanjay Parihar was travelling with friends on a bike towards Karera. Ahead of them, Seeta Verma and Pooja Soni were walking. Dinesh Lodhi, son of the MLA, allegedly hit first the women and then the bike with his Thar vehicle. Five people were injured in the incident. Police registered an FIR against Dinesh Lodhi and seized the vehicle. Police issued challan for black film and hooter Following a court order, Dinesh Lodhi appeared at Karera police station on Sunday. SDOP Ayush Jakhad and station in-charge Vinod Chhawai questioned him regarding the accident. During inspection, the Thar was found fitted with a hooter and tinted black films on windows. Police issued a challan under the Motor Vehicles Act and later released the vehicle. The MLA stated that he himself had asked the SP to register an FIR against his son, seize the vehicle, and ensure his son’s appearance at the police station.
