A murder case has been reported from the Rau police station area of Indore, where a woman allegedly conspired with her lover to get her husband killed. Police have identified five people involved. Four have been arrested, while the main accused is absconding. Victim shot dead during planned attack The deceased, Naveen Patidar, was a resident of Rau. The incident took place around 8 PM on April 12, when he had gone out. Police said the accused had tracked his movements. One of the accused fired at close range at the back of his head. He fell on the spot and was taken to hospital, where he died during treatment. The postmortem confirmed the bullet was fired from behind. Country-made pistol used, ₹70,000 contract Police said a country-made pistol was used in the murder and has been recovered. Initial findings indicate the contract was worth around ₹70,000. Further details are being verified. Wife and lover behind conspiracy Police said Naveen’s wife Bharti Patidar and her lover Rahul Uike planned the murder. Rahul has a prior criminal record and was out on bail in a murder case. Hired attackers carried out plan Rahul allegedly contacted Mukesh Kumawat from Dewas, who involved Shriram and Ajay. The accused conducted reconnaissance before the attack. Old dispute between accused and victim Investigation found that in 2023, Naveen and Rahul were involved in a murder case in Ujjain. After coming out on bail, a dispute developed between them. Police said Naveen had informed against Rahul earlier, which led to enmity. During this time, Rahul and Bharti came into a relationship. Four arrested, main accused absconding DCP Krishna Lalchandani said Bharti Patidar, Mukesh Kumawat, Shriram and Ajay have been arrested. Rahul Uike is absconding, and police teams are searching for him.
