couple-commits-suicide-dressed-as-bride-and-groom:brought-popcorn,-alcohol,-set-emotional-ringtone-before-death

Before marriage, the daughter-in-law was in contact with some boy. I think he must have been troubling her. My son never told me anything. Only God knows what was in their minds. Ganesh Patel, a resident of Muthiya Tola Chandpur, broke down while speaking about his son and daughter-in-law, who were found hanging in their home on 1 April. He said he believes a man his daughter-in-law was in contact with before marriage may have been troubling her. “My son never told me anything. Only God knows what was going on in their minds,” he said. He added that the marriage between the couple was arranged after their families agreed due to their insistence. “It was a love marriage. There were no problems at home, then why did they choose death?” he questioned. The father said the same question has been troubling him day and night. He again expressed suspicion that the man his daughter-in-law was in contact with before marriage could be behind their distress, though he admitted it is a matter for investigation. He further said that for about two and a half years after marriage, everything was normal. Then suddenly, the couple dressed like a bride and groom, brought popcorn and alcohol, set an emotional ringtone on the mobile phone, and later ended their lives by hanging themselves. The Dainik Bhaskar team reached the village to find out the reason for the couple’s suicide. Here, the father made this an even more mysterious case by expressing suspicion about a third youth. Read the report Daughter-in-law gave milk and rice, son went to sleep During investigation, it was found that on the day of the incident, Rajendra went by bike in the morning to Chandpur to deposit an instalment. After returning, he had his meal. His wife Kajal served milk and rice to her father-in-law Ganesh. Later in the afternoon, Rajendra again went out on his bike and returned after some time, going to his room to rest. Ganesh Patel said his son usually slept for two hours in the afternoon. That day too, he was resting. The father and younger son then went to the fields to collect wheat crops. When Rajendra did not come out till evening, the younger son was sent to call him. He found no one on the bed, and when he checked the other room, he discovered the shocking scene. Bought rope and popcorn from the market The father said police found popcorn and a bottle of alcohol in the room. The rope used in the hanging was new. He suspects Rajendra brought the rope, popcorn and alcohol from the market that same day. He also said Rajendra had set the ringtone “sath jiyenge sath marenge” on his mobile phone before his death. The two had met at a relative’s place three years ago Family members said the couple met about three years ago through relatives in a nearby village. They developed a relationship and decided to marry. Both families agreed after their insistence and got them married. There were no disputes from either side. Rajendra lived separately from family Rajendra’s house was located in a farm area with two pucca and two kutcha rooms. The family had six members. The parents, grandmother and younger brother lived in one pucca house with the daughter-in-law, while Rajendra and Kajal lived separately in a kutcha room. Even their meals were prepared separately. Sold land to buy bike The father said his son wanted a bike, and since they did not have money, he sold land to buy it. The bike was used by family members as needed. He added that he never denied his son anything. He said he still cannot understand why the couple took such a step and suspects that pressure from another man may have led to the incident, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
