The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board has released the notification for the Combined Recruitment Examination-2026 for 2,646 posts of Nursing Officer and Sister Tutor under the Public Health and Medical Education Department. Online applications will be accepted from April 6 to April 20, and the exam will begin on May 15, 2026. The recruitment is for regular third-category posts, open to eligible nursing candidates, with selection based on a written examination. Applicants must carefully review eligibility, fees, exam pattern, and essential conditions before applying. The entire process will be conducted by MPESB under the department. 2,646 posts to be filled in joint recruitment 2,646 posts will be filled in joint recruitment in Madhya Pradesh. 1,256 posts of Nursing Officer will be filled in government hospitals and 954 posts in government medical colleges. 218 posts of Sister Tutor will also be filled through this joint examination. Post structure and salary Nursing Officer- Level-7, Pay Scale Rs 28,700. These posts come under regular and Group-C services. Sister Tutor- Level-9, Pay Scale Rs 36,200. These posts come under regular and Group-C services. Applications to be online only Applications for the combined examination will be online only. Aadhaar-based registration is mandatory. It is necessary to keep the application number safe. Photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, etc.) is mandatory for the examination. Live registration with the employment office is also necessary. General category to have to pay 500 rupees For the combined recruitment examination, the general category will have to pay a fee of 500 rupees. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Disabled candidates of MP will have to pay a fee of 250 rupees. There is no fee for backlog posts. The portal fee is fixed at 60 rupees (kiosk) and 20 rupees (self-login). Exam pattern The recruitment exam will have 100 questions. Each question will be worth 1 mark. The time allotted will be 2 hours. 25 marks worth of questions will be from General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Mathematics, and Science. 75 marks worth of questions will be from the Nursing subject. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10 AM to 12 PM and the second from 3 PM to 5 PM. Selection will be based on the merit of the written exam. The minimum marks are 50% for the general category and 40% for the reserved category. After merit, appointment will depend on the department’s requirement and verification.
