On the first day of the Vaishakh month, Dharmendra Pradhan and Indian cricketer Umesh Yadav participated in the Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain, and sought the blessings of Lord Mahakal along with their wives. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached the temple around 4 AM on Friday and attended the two-hour Bhasma Aarti wearing a traditional dhoti-sola. After the Aarti, he entered the sanctum sanctorum, performed Jalabhishek to Lord Mahakal, offered water to Nandi, and was welcomed by Assistant Administrator Ashish Falwadia on behalf of the temple management committee. Wishing for world peace, he stated that he felt spiritual energy by participating in the Bhasma Aarti. Meanwhile, an exhibition and a three-day international conference on the theme “Mahakal: The Master of Time” were also inaugurated on Friday in the presence of Mohan Yadav, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
