Ashiq, a resident of Bhojakhedi village on the Indore–Ichhapur Highway, used to catch snakes from nearby areas free of cost and release them into forests. On Tuesday, he received a call about a snake hiding inside a house in Barud. He reached the spot and, after considerable effort, rescued the snake from a drain, during which the snake later bit him. Water was poured to remove dirt After the rescue, Ashiq had a villager pour water on the snake to remove dirt. While cleaning, the snake bit Ashiq’s hand.
