In Kolaras town of Shivpuri, the family of 26-year-old Arjun Pal beat him to death after he came to elope with his girlfriend. On Monday morning, his body was found in a drain near the village. The police have registered a murder case and begun an investigation. According to information, Arjun Pal, a resident of Negma village in the Rannod police station area, was in a romantic relationship with a 20-year-old girl from Kolaras. Both families were aware of the relationship, but the girl’s family opposed the marriage due to the difference in their social backgrounds. Arjun reached Kolaras late Sunday evening and sought the help of his relative Kalla Pal. Around 1 a.m., both reached near the girl’s house to take her along. Girl’s family caught both of them The girl’s family got wind of the plan and reached the scene, catching both of them. Kalla Pal managed to escape, while Arjun was taken to the house by the family. They held him captive and brutally beat him throughout the night, resulting in his death. His body was later thrown into a drain about 100 meters away. Girl’s grandfather reached police station himself On Monday morning, villagers spotted the body in the drain and informed the police. The deceased was identified as Arjun Pal. It is reported that the girl’s grandfather himself went to the police station and informed them about the assault. Police registered a murder case Following a complaint by Kalla Pal, the police registered a murder case. According to Thana In-Charge Gabbar Singh Gurjar, an FIR has been lodged against the girl’s father, grandfather, and three other unidentified individuals. The police are searching for the accused.
