A dance programme featuring allegedly vulgar performances was organized in the Brahmani Mata Temple complex in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, sparking controversy among locals. The organizers of the Kalisingh Festival fair had invited dancers from outside for the event, held in Samanera village under Tarana Janpad Panchayat. According to information, a religious discourse had been taking place from March 19 to March 28 on a stage set up behind the temple complex.
