A major revelation has come to light in the police investigation regarding the massive fire at businessman Manoj Pugalia’s house in Brajeshwari NX, Indore. It has emerged in the statements recorded by Tilak Nagar police that at the time of the accident, an electric car (EV) was being charged. In this case, the family’s statements, which initially denied EV charging, have now changed, which seems to be clarifying the situation regarding the cause of the fire. Police will now record the statements of about 20 other people, including the wife of the deceased Manoj Pugalia. On Wednesday, Tilak Nagar police station police recorded the statements of the three sons of the deceased Manoj Pugalia – Saurabh, Saumil, and Harshit, along with Harshit’s friends Rishabh Jadoun and Shivendra. During the interrogation that lasted for about 4 hours, several important facts came to light. According to TI Manish Lodha, Saurabh and Harshit have admitted that the car was put on charge. First Denial, Now Acceptance Saurabh Pugalia had initially claimed that the car was not on charging and there was no charger in it. But now he stated in his statement that the car was 85% charged, so he had removed the charger, although later Harshit put it back on charging around 11 PM. Harshit’s statement made it clear that the car was connected to the charging point during the incident. Saurabh had claimed before the CM – The car was not on charging Manoj’s elder son Saurabh told the Chief Minister that the fire did not spread from his electric car. He hadn’t even put it on charge. Looking outside, they saw the bike parked in the porch burning along with the EV car. Electricity company’s initial investigation revealed the causes of the fire Regarding the EV accident in Indore, the electricity company claimed in its initial report that the fire started from the EV charging point installed in the house. A load of 15 kilowatts was approved for the house, while in reality, only 2 to 9 kilowatts of electricity was being used. Meanwhile, electricity company officials say that their report regarding the entire incident will be fully prepared in one to two days. At the time of the incident, the car was on charging, which was confirmed by the digital data of the smart meter. The company prepared this report by extracting minute-to-minute data for the last three months. According to officials, the car used to be on charging every night from 11 PM to 3 AM.
