In Dabra of Gwalior district, four judges set up a mobile court on Tuesday evening at Pichhor Tiraha and outside the court premises to strictly check traffic rule violations. During the drive, an illegal hooter was found in the Scorpio vehicle of Congress MLA Suresh Raje, which was immediately removed on the judges’ directions. Interestingly, the MLA did not have money to pay the fine on the spot. He called his son to bring cash and, after waiting there for nearly half an hour, paid the fine before leaving. Several drivers were found without driving licences or vehicle documents. Many minors were caught driving e-rickshaws; their vehicles were seized and sent to the police station, and their parents were called and warned. Two minor girls riding a scooty were also stopped and counselled. Rules ignored in buses too During the checking of passenger buses and other vehicles, multiple violations were found. Several buses were carrying passengers beyond capacity and lacked Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates. Over 60 thousand in fines collected During the nearly four-hour-long drive, conducted in the presence of judges Devansh Agrawal, Srishti Shah, Rajeshwari German and Ayushi Agrawal, challans were issued for around 40 vehicles. More than ₹60,000 in fines was collected from violators.
