Cricketer Kuldeep Yadav visited Banke Bihari in Vrindavan with his wife Vanshika yesterday. They reached the temple at 7:30 PM on Tuesday. Both served by applying perfume on the threshold (doorframe). Then the couple offered ‘56 bhog’ to the Lord. It was their first visit to Mathura after marriage. Kuldeep arrived in Vrindavan so discreetly that no one even got a whiff of it. People came to know about it on Wednesday morning after photos and videos surfaced. Both stayed in the temple for about 25 minutes. During that period, the temple guards stood beside them and guarded them continuously. Temple priest Shailendra Goswami said that Kuldeep’s family had informed them about his arrival. They had requested to keep it confidential to avoid crowd. Upon reaching the temple, Nitin Sanwariya and I performed the worship. We had the threshold worshipped by offering perfume. Then we presented the Lord’s blessed garland. Subsequently after staying in Vrindavan for about an hour, the couple left for Delhi. Kuldeep had mentioned in an interview that his father wanted to make him a cricketer, but he didn’t like this game at all. He just used to play cricket with a tennis ball with friends. He was quite good in studies. Today, because of his father’s hard work, he has become the charismatic off-spinner of Indian cricket.
