Yash Dayal ruled out due to ‘personal reasons’:RCB pacer facing rape charges, will remain ‘under contract’

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be without the services of Yash Dayal for the entire IPL 2026 season, the team’s director, Mo Bobat, confirmed. The pacer has been ruled out of the entire season due to ‘personal reasons’. Despite being retained following a strong previous season, he did not join the squad for training ahead of the tournament, which begins on March 28, 2026. The franchise has confirmed that Dayal will be ‘under contract’ but will not play for the team this year. Dayal recently got married to a content creator in an intimate ceremony. According to media reports, the two took wedding vows on February 4 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of family and close friends. A woman from Ghaziabad filed a case accusing Dayal of physical exploitation by promising marriage, and a minor from Jaipur filed a rape case. Yash Dayal to miss IPL 2026 season Dayal was on song last year for RCB, picking up 13 wickets in 15 matches. However, he is currently facing the two rape charges, and therefore, he will be sidelined for the IPL 2026 season.
