Pakistani opener Sahibzada Farhan has been chosen by the ICC as the Player of the Month for February 2026. He pipped England’s Will Jacks and America’s Shadley van Schalkwyk in this race. Meanwhile, Arundhati Reddy won the award in the women’s category. She surpassed Pakistan’s Fatima Sana and Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama. Sahibzada scored 383 runs in 7 matches

He became the first player to score two centuries in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. Additionally, Farhan also broke Virat Kohli’s record for scoring the most runs in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. After winning the award, Farhan shared that it was a fantastic feeling. He also said that the T20 World Cup was memorable for him and that he will always cherish it.
