Chennai Super Kings (CSK) would host a special reunion event on 22 March at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Many former players of the team will participate in this event, including some names who are currently associated with other franchises. Muralitharan, Hayden and Raina to attend The attendance of legends like Muttiah Muralitharan, Matthew Hayden, and Dwayne Bravo has been confirmed for this reunion. Suresh Raina will also participate in this event. Around 19-20 former players, along with the current team and support staff, will be part of this program. It is to be noted that Muralitharan, Hayden and Bravo are part of the support staff of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders, respectively, in IPL 2026. Initially, there was speculation about a big announcement regarding the event, but the franchise has clarified that it is just a pre-season fan engagement program. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that there is no need to read too much into it. AR Rahman will perform The event will run from 4 PM to 9 PM and will also feature a performance by musician AR Rahman. The team has also contacted other franchises so that former players associated with their coaching staff can be available on this day. R Ashwin will not be able to attend this event as he will be out of town. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, who were part of the Indian team that recently won the T20 World Cup, will join the ongoing camp in Chennai. CSK start campaign vs RR on 30 March Chennai Super Kings will begin their IPL 2026 campaign on 30 March in Guwahati against Rajasthan Royals. The team’s first home match will be on 3 April against Punjab Kings. CSK joint-most successful IPL team CSK have won a total of five titles (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, 2023) in IPL history so far. The team reached the final in its very first season in 2008. By winning two consecutive titles in 2010 and 2011, CSK established its dominance, while becoming champions after returning from a two-year suspension in 2018 is considered one of the team’s biggest achievements.
