There was a huge uproar after a worker’s death on Saturday morning at a private power plant located in Badhaura in the Mada police station area of Singrauli district. Angry workers vandalized the plant premises. Heavy police force and administrative officers have been deployed at the spot to control the situation. According to information, Lallan Singh, a worker working in the plant, died late Friday night due to sudden deterioration in his health. The deceased was originally from the Garhwa district of Jharkhand and had been working in this plant for a long time. As news of the worker’s death spread, anger erupted among fellow workers. Attacked several vehicles parked inside the plant Angry workers vandalized and overturned half a dozen vehicles belonging to company officials parked inside the plant. They also damaged the vehicle of the Badhaura police post in-charge. Additionally, smoke can be seen rising from inside the plant. There is fear of fire. Fire engines have been dispatched from the district headquarters, Baidhan. Police forces and magistrates are deployed at the scene. The administration is trying to calm the situation by talking to the workers. The administration has assured an investigation of the entire matter, and the situation is being continuously monitored. Collector says, ‘The worker died of heart attack’ Collector Gaurav Bainal said that according to preliminary information, the worker died of a heart attack. With the help of management and police, the body has been kept at Baidhan Trauma Center for post-mortem. The Collector also said that on Saturday morning, some workers created a ruckus and vandalized the plant premises. There are also reports of arson, although this has not been clearly confirmed yet.
