After poor performance in the last IPL season, Rishabh Pant is now training in power hitting with Yuvraj Singh. He posted a video on his Instagram on Thursday, in which Pant is practicing big shots under Yuvraj’s supervision at Mumbai’s Cricket Club of India. In this video, Yuvraj Singh is carefully observing his technique. Not only this, he can also be seen giving batting-related suggestions to him. The last IPL season was quite poor for Pant. Despite scoring a century, he could only manage 269 runs. Watch the video of Pant’s training… Pant’s practice in GIF Changed stance against left-arm bowlers In this training session, Pant took an open stance, meaning he was seen batting with slightly wider feet against left-handed bowlers. Cricket experts believe that this change will help him play big shots on the off-side and cover better angles. Pant is returning from injury. He got injured just before the India-New Zealand ODI series on January 11. During the training session, the throwdown ball hit Pant’s right ribs. He was ruled out of this series. His last international match was against South Africa in Guwahati from November 22 to 26, 2025. South Africa won that Test match by 408 runs. Yuvraj has become a mentor for youth Yuvraj Singh has proven to be an excellent mentor for young players in recent years. He has trained players like Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh. These players have performed brilliantly in T20 cricket after practising with Yuvraj. Before Pant, Sanju Samson, who was going through poor form, had sought help from legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar before the T20 World Cup. After winning the final match against New Zealand by 96 runs, he had said that Sachin helped a lot in his return to form.
