Retired government physician Dr. Gajendra Singh Vaishya was leaving his home to buy milk when two unknown assailants, who were lying in wait, surrounded him in an alley. The assailants publicly jostled with the doctor. When he resisted, they threw him to the ground, assaulted him, and carried out the robbery. A video of this entire incident has also surfaced. Seeing the shopkeeper approaching, both miscreants panicked and failed to snatch the mobile phone. Fearing capture, both accused fled from the scene. Police visited Dr. Vaishya’s house and recorded his statement. Currently, efforts are being made to identify the miscreants based on CCTV footage.
