Following the historic victory, celebrations erupted across the country, including in several cities of Chhattisgarh. Fans gathered at Jai Stambh Chowk in Raipur carrying the tricolour and celebrating enthusiastically. Fireworks were set off across the area as people danced to the beats of drums and patriotic songs. Similar scenes were witnessed in Bilaspur, Korba and Dantewada, where cricket fans celebrated India’s triumph. Large screens were installed in several locations for people to watch the match together, and supporters also threw gulal to mark the joyous occasion. Mayor Ramu Rohra was seen dancing with residents in Dhamtari during the celebrations. Fireworks were also reported from Ambikapur and Bastar, while in Korba, women were seen dancing to patriotic songs as part of the celebrations. Due to the large gathering, traffic congestion was reported between Jai Stambh Chowk and Sharda Chowk during the celebrations. Among the crowd was an army jawan who expressed his emotions during the celebrations. He said that India’s victory was a matter of pride for everyone, adding that ‘Hindustan is in our hearts’. Fans watch match on LED screens Young cricket enthusiasts in Bilaspur watched the match on an LED screen installed near the Tilak Nagar Hanuman Temple. After the final result, they celebrated enthusiastically by cheering and bursting firecrackers. Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Raigarh celebrated the victory by lighting fireworks outside the BJP office. Meanwhile, in the Geedam area of Bastar, residents also came out onto the streets to celebrate the national team’s triumph. Leaders congratulate Team India Several political leaders congratulated the Indian team on its historic victory. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai extended his congratulations to Team India for the win. Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also conveyed his best wishes to the players for their performance in the tournament. Union Minister Tokhan Sahu celebrated the victory at his residence in Delhi and praised the team for bringing pride to the country.
