Patwari filmed tenant student while bathing:Crowd beat him till clothes tore; police intervened, POCSO and other charges filed

According to the police, minor girl students from nearby villages were living on rent for their studies in the house of Patwari Mahesh Sahu (50). A week ago, the accused’s wife had gone to her relative’s place in Chhabra, Rajasthan, leaving the accused alone at home. On Saturday morning, an 11th-grade student went to the bathroom to bathe before taking her exam. During this time, the Patwari made a video of the student with his mobile phone from the mesh above the bathroom door. The accused recorded not one, but 2 to 3 videos. The student saw the accused in suspicious circumstances, but due to fear and the upcoming exam, she didn’t say anything immediately. Later, she told this to the other students living with her and went to take her exam. Secret revealed upon checking the mobile After returning from the exam in the evening, the students called their family members and informed them about the incident. Around 9 PM, enraged family members and villagers reached the accused’s house. When they checked the accused’s mobile phone, the deleted videos were found in the recycle bin. Seeing this, people’s anger erupted. They severely beat the accused. Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and rescued the accused from the crowd. The situation was so tense that the police had to take the accused to the police station on foot, and then by bike. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered outside the police station late into the night. People kept demanding strict action against the accused.
