DAV student missing from Mandi found safe in MP:Police searched across 4 states; questioning to reveal full story

Police in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh have achieved a major success. A minor girl, an eighth-grade student of DAV School Mandi, has been safely recovered from the Pipri region of Madhya Pradesh. The student had gone missing under the jurisdiction of Police Post Urban, Sadar Mandi Police Station. Missing complaint filed on February 23 According to information, the student’s father, Mohan Lal, had filed a complaint with the police on February 23, 2026. He had stated that his daughter went to school but did not return home. Based on the complaint, FIR No. 66/26 was registered under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sadar Mandi Police Station, and immediate action was initiated. SP Formed Special Team Considering the seriousness of the matter, Mandi Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar formed a special team. This team included Head Constable Pawan Kumar, Constable Ajay Kumar, and Woman Constable Santosh Kumari. The team began its investigation based on technical evidence and other important clues. Search operation conducted in four states During the investigation, the police team raided potential hideouts. A continuous search for the girl was carried out in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The team conducted the operation by establishing coordination with the cooperation of local police at various locations. Girl recovered on February 27, student reached Mandi on February 28 After continuous efforts and technical analysis, the girl was safely recovered from Pipri, Madhya Pradesh, on February 27. On February 28, the police team safely brought the student back to Mandi. The family has expressed gratitude for the police’s swift action and efforts. Investigation continues Police stated that further investigation into the case is ongoing, and all aspects are being thoroughly investigated.
