CSK also revealed their new jersey through a social media post at 7 AM on March 1. Sanju Samson, who joined the team this season, will join the training camp after the T20 World Cup ends. Ruturaj Gaikwad will continue as the team’s captain this season. CSK won their last title in 2023. Watch CSK’s jersey reveal video… MS Dhoni spotted at Chennai airport with long hairs
The video of Dhoni arriving in Chennai is going viral on social media. He appeared in his signature ‘vintage look’ with long hair. After visiting the Dewri Mata temple in Ranchi, Dhoni directly reached Chennai. Even at the age of 44, Dhoni is ready to play IPL for his fans and team. 15 Indian players also joined the practice camp
According to CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan, “Around 15 Indian players are participating in the initial phase of the camp. This includes team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad along with several uncapped and domestic players. Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson are currently busy with national duty, so they will join the camp after the tournament. Foreign players and head coach Stephen Fleming are also expected to arrive by next week.” CSK in search of sixth IPL title this season
Chennai Super Kings last won their 5th IPL trophy in 2023 by defeating Gujarat Titans in the final. In 2024 and 2025, the team couldn’t even reach the playoffs. Last season, the team finished at 10th position. Chennai strengthened their team by adding several young players through player replacement last season itself. Before the auction, they released Ravindra Jadeja and included Sanju Samson. In the auction, the team again bet on uncapped young players. Will this be Dhoni’s last season?
Like every year, fans have the same question this time – will this be Mahi’s last IPL? However, Dhoni has not given any official statement about retirement yet. CSK has also retained Dhoni for just 4 crore rupees under the new uncapped rule. Media reports are claiming that Dhoni might retire after playing the initial matches.
