In Morena, BJP district vice president Jinesh Jain made an inappropriate comment about a female singer’s attire. He said – Let me tell you about yesterday… that girl who was performing here, her pants were 3 inches below the navel. So I told the public that you are enjoying it. She is wearing pants but they are 3 inches below the navel. Jain further said – What’s wrong with that? You see it in movies, I just said it. Journalists wrote how can you speak like this. We said you abuse the Prime Minister, you shoot at ministers… if we make you youngsters clap, what’s our fault in that? She’s wearing pants below her navel, you all are enjoying it, what’s wrong with that? You enjoy watching it on TV too, enjoy it here as well and clap. Actually, Bollywood singer Sonal Pradhan performed at the Jayeshwar Mahadev fair organized by the Municipal Council Ambah on Monday evening. Responding to the viral video, Congress MLA Dinesh Gurjar said over phone – There is a big difference between BJP’s words and actions. Jinesh Jain is a senior BJP leader. Such a statement is inappropriate. No amount of condemnation is enough for this. Gurjar said – BJP has always used indecent language regarding women. BJP thinks they have bought women for 1200 rupees. Now they think they can use any kind of language with them. BJP President said – Matter will be discussed on party forum
Meanwhile, BJP district president Kamlesh Kushwah said that he has not heard the complete statement, but any party representative should speak within proper limits. He said that respecting women is everyone’s responsibility. If the statement is against dignity, it will be discussed on the party forum.
