Student gives birth during Class 10 exam in MP’s Pithampur:Minor went into labour at the exam centre

A minor student gave birth to a child during the 10th board examination in Pithampur, Dhar. The incident occurred on Tuesday during the mathematics paper at St. John’s School. The student was sitting normally in the examination hall solving the question paper. During this time, she took permission to go to the bathroom. When she didn’t return for a long time, the school staff went to check and found that the student had given birth to a child. The school management immediately informed the 108 ambulance. The medical team that arrived at the scene immediately admitted the student and the newborn to Pithampur Community Health Center. Examination center in-charge Narendra Kumar Pothe said – On Tuesday, a 17-year-old student went to the bathroom while taking her mathematics exam. When she didn’t return for about 15 minutes, a female staff member was sent to check on her. The bathroom door was locked from the inside. A baby’s crying sound was coming from inside. Sector 1 police station SI Chandni Singar said – The victim revealed during questioning that about two years ago, she became friends with a youth named Kanha Barman. They had physical relations for the past one year, due to which she became pregnant. The student’s family members are not aware of this. Police have registered a case based on her statement.
