₹250-charge-for-mahakal-‘sandhya-aarti’-and-‘shayan-aarti’:casual-darshan-possible-on-the-move,-online-booking-required-like-for-‘bhasm-aarti’

Similar to Bhasmarti at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, online booking will now also be available for Sandhya Aarti (evening prayer) and Shayan Aarti (night prayer) darshan. Devotees will have to pay 250 per person for both. The temple committee started this system from Thursday, while devotees who do not pay the fee will have to opt for moving darshan. The Mahakal Temple Management Committee has taken this decision considering the large crowds of devotees that gather for Sandhya Aarti and Shayan Aarti at night. Now, devotees will be able to book for both aartis only through the temple’s official website https://www.shrimahakaleshwar.mp.gov.in/. Additionally, a separate amount is charged for various worship rituals. Approximately 1200 devotees daily are given online Bhasmarti entry at the temple. Besides the general queue, a VIP line darshan facility is available at the temple, for which darshan can be done by paying 250 rupees through the counter or online and taking a receipt. Garbhagriha Entry Still Closed Earlier, devotees could enter the Garbhagriha by paying a fee of 1500 rupees, but on July 4, 2023, due to the crowd during Sawan, it was temporarily closed until September 11, 2023. At that time, it was assured that the Garbhagriha would be reopened after Sawan, but even after two and a half years, entry for general devotees has not started.
