In Ujjain, Bajrang Dal workers publicly assaulted a Muslim youth who had arrived from Delhi on Thursday. The young man had come with a female friend to visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple. After learning that the two were present in the temple area, workers caught hold of him and beat him. District coordinator Rishabh Kushwah said the youth, identified as Nasim Akram, was staying at a hotel near the temple area with a girl. After receiving information, they followed and stopped him. He allegedly gave a false name at first. When questioned strictly, he said he belonged to the Muslim community and had come to Ujjain with a girl for temple darshan. Police confiscated the mobile phone After learning about his religious identity, workers assaulted Nasim, claiming that obscene videos of the girl were found on his phone. Meanwhile, Mahakal police arrived at the spot, took him into custody and seized his mobile. He was then taken to the police station. Mahakal police station in-charge Gagan Badal said the youth and the girl were staying in separate hotels. The matter is under investigation, and a case will be registered after recording the girl’s statement. Her family members are being contacted. He added that a similar incident had surfaced two days earlier, when a Muslim youth allegedly entered the temple wearing traditional attire and religious markings. Obscene videos of girls found in mobile Rishabh Kushwah said the youth had come with a girl from Himachal Pradesh. Both had booked separate hotels but were heading towards another hotel when a team including Nitin Malviya, Aman Chaurasia and Vinay Prajapati stopped them. He claimed nude videos of the girl and other women were found on the youth’s phone.
