In Indore, a BJP leader allegedly brutally assaulted two youths and vandalised their Scorpio vehicle. The accused has been identified as Vedant Tiwari, Mandal Vice President of the BJP Yuva Morcha. Both youths sustained head injuries in the attack. The incident took place on Sunday morning on CAT Road in the Rau area. The injured youths have been identified as Prakhar Sharma and Nayan Bafna. It has emerged that there was an ongoing dispute between the two sides over dominance. According to police, Prakhar and Nayan, residents of Sudama Nagar, had gone to a café for tea in the morning. After having tea, they were returning home in their Scorpio when Vedant Tiwari, along with his associates Sameer Sharma and Aditya, chased them, stopped the vehicle, and began assaulting them. During the attack, the accused also smashed the windows of the Scorpio car belonging to Prakhar and Nayan. Police was not filing FIR under pressure from BJP leaders After the assault, both injured youths went to a private hospital for treatment. Following medical care, they reached Rau police station. Initially, police did not register an FIR due to pressure from BJP leaders. However, after a commotion and protest at the police station, a case was finally registered.
