Prasanjeet Rangari, who was released from Pakistan jail after seven years, will reach Katangi in Balaghat on Friday night. Prasanjeet’s brother-in-law Rajesh Khobragade, Maihkepar employment assistant Yogendra Chaudhary, Mohgaon employment assistant Ashish Wasini and Constable Laxmiprasad Baghel departed from Balaghat to Amritsar to receive him. When asked where he was from, Prasanjeet said, “I am from Kailanji village.” Reached Pakistani jail in October 2019 Yogendra Chaudhary said that Prasanjeet was asked how he reached Pakistan. He said that he had gone to Delhi for sightseeing in 2017. During this time his mental condition deteriorated. In 2019 he was in Pakistan’s Lahore jail. But Prasanjeet is unable to explain how he reached there. The FIR filed in Pakistan states that Prasanjeet was caught without a visa and passport in October 2019. After this, he was sent to Lahore jail. Discovered to be in Pakistan in December 2021 Prasanjeet’s brother-in-law Rajesh Khobragade said, “He went missing from home in 2017. He stayed in Bihar for some time, then returned but later disappeared again. The family searched extensively. When no clue was found, he was presumed dead. In December 2021, a sudden phone call informed the family that Prasanjeet was imprisoned in a Pakistan jail. His sister Sanghamitra was continuously struggling for his return home.” Received information about jail release on February 1 On February 1, 2022, the family received information about Prasanjeet’s release after a call from Khairlanji police station. After this, on receiving a call from Amritsar police station, Sanghamitra spoke to her brother after about 5 years and heard his voice. After Prasanjeet went missing, his father Lopchand Rangari had passed away. As a result of the joint efforts of sister Sanghamitra Rajesh Khobragade, former district panchayat member Vikram Deshmukh and Collector Mrinal Meena, Prasanjeet has been released from Pakistan and is now returning home.
