Tilak Varma was left annoyed after Arshdeep Singh teased him in the dressing room, in a video that has gone viral. The team India players were seen having some fun dressing room banter after their warm-up win over South Africa. India defeated South Africa by 30 runs in a high-scoring warm-up match ahead of the T20 World Cup. Ishan Kishan struck a 20-ball 53 while Abhishek Sharma took two wickets to help India get some good preparation before the showpiece event. As Arshdeep was filming Tilak, he responded saying, “Bina permission ke videos mat le. Main promote nahi karta hu aisa,” he said. (Don’t take videos without my permission. I don’t promote this.) However, despite Tilak being annoyed, Arshdeep continued filming him and carrying on with his joke. Tilak, who missed the India vs New Zealand five-match series, featured in two warm-up games before the T20 World Cup. Apart from Ishan’s 20-ball 53, Tilak starred with 45 runs off just 19 balls. Hardik Pandya also smashed 30 runs off 10 just deliveries as India scored 240/5. While Abhishek Sharma picked up two wickets, Arshdeep, Shivam Dube, Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel got one each. India’s schedule at T20 World Cup India enter the T20 World Cup 2026 as one of the hot favourites to win the title. The Men in Blue will start their T20 World Cup campaign against the USA on 7 February at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India’s next match will be against Namibia on 12 February at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. While Pakistan have refused to play against India on 15 February, a final verdict by the ICC is awaited on this matter. India’s campaign will end against the Netherlands on 18 February in Ahmedabad.
