In Tikamgarh, a cattle rearer allegedly cut off the head of a dead calf and hung it on the wall of a cowshed, triggering tension in the area. Following the incident, Bajrang Dal activists staged a road blockade, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and strict punishment for the act of cruelty. The incident is from Monday morning in Baikunthi locality. Currently, the police have registered an FIR against the accused under the ‘Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act’. According to the police, Satendra Yadav, who lives in Baikunthi locality, sells milk. A few days ago, his cow’s calf died due to illness. After the calf’s death, the cow stopped giving milk. On Monday, Satendra allegedly cut off the calf’s head, stuffed it with straw, discarded the torso, and hung the head in front of the cow so it would think its calf was alive and continue giving milk.
