Pakistan defeated Australia by 111 runs in the 3rd T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 1 February. With this victory, the Green Shirts have whitewashed Australia 3-0 in the three-match series prior to the T20 World Cup. Batting first, Pakistan scored 207/6 riding on Saim Ayub’s 56 off 37 deliveries. Babar Azam also hit a half-century and went past Virat Kohli’s record of most fifties in T20Is (39).
Pakistan boycott India match in T20 World Cup Pakistan earlier decided to boycott their T20 World Cup match against India on 15 February in Colombo. This decision was announced by the Government of Pakistan on their X handle.
