Former South African captain Graeme Smith praised Dewald Brevis, who was named Player of the Match in the SA20 final. He also stated that this tournament has provided excellent preparation for the entire South African team for the T20 World Cup to be played from 7 February to 8 March. He further added, “In the T20 format, the role of match-winning players is very important. You need players who can win matches with both bat and ball.
