Panchayat secretaries and assistant secretaries of Bhind district staged a protest at the Collectorate on Friday, raising their long-pending demands. Representatives of the Secretaries’ Association and Assistant Secretaries’ Association submitted a memorandum addressed to the Collector through Additional District Magistrate (ADM) L.K. Pandey. In the memorandum, the employees levelled serious allegations against the Janpad Panchayat CEO, accusing him of arbitrary functioning, disrespectful behaviour, and ignoring their grievances. Allegations of insult and arbitrary conduct District President of the Secretaries’ Association, Rajesh Singh Bhadoria and District President of the Assistant Secretaries’ Association, Sachin Sharma, said that a meeting was called at the Janpad Panchayat Bhind on January 13, 2026, at 4 pm. They alleged that when union representatives approached the CEO to discuss issues related to salaries and other problems, they were treated in a humiliating manner. Instead of listening to their concerns, the CEO allegedly asked them either to hold the meeting or leave the premises. Meeting boycotted, agitation continues Following this, the secretaries and assistant secretaries boycotted the meeting. They further alleged that the CEO used indecent language and attempted to drive the union representatives out of the office. After the incident, the secretaries and assistant secretaries decided to launch an agitation, which is still ongoing. Demand for removal of Janpad CEO In their memorandum, the employees demanded the removal of the current Janpad CEO and the posting of another officer in his place.
