Indore’s Lasudiya police have registered a fraud case against the BJP Indore’s divisional co-media in-charge, Goldy Rathore. He is accused of cheating a woman of lakhs of rupees in the name of a plot. Police are investigating the matter. Goldy has previously had complaints registered against him regarding land matters. According to TI Taresh Soni, Varsha Nair, resident of APJ Abdul Kalam University Road, Talawali Chanda, Indore, has filed a complaint of fraud of Rs 8 lakh 46 thousand against Goldy Rathore, son of Satyanarayan Rathore, resident of Shikshak Nagar, Airport Road, Indore. Varsha told police that Goldy Rathore took money online and in cash in the name of selling a plot. Varsha said that she met Goldy in 2021. Goldy introduced himself as a resident of Assembly 1 and said that he works for the BJP. Fraud committed in the name of plot Goldy told Varsha about a 2380 square feet plot in Plan No. 488, Scheme No. 78, which was said to belong to Ramesh Panwar. He said the price is around 64 lakh rupees, and he would also help in getting a bank loan. Additionally, Goldy mentioned another 600 square feet plot in Shriram Nagar Chota Bagarda, which belongs to Kuldeep Bharat Thakur. For this, he took 50 thousand rupees as an advance from Varsha on November 29 and deposited 5 lakh 40 thousand rupees in his account by June 1. He also kept 3 lakh rupees in cash. When Varsha asked for the original plot documents, Goldy claimed her name was on the deal letters for Scheme No. 78 and Shriram Nagar. Later, the victim became suspicious and asked for information about the original documents. Goldy harassed the victim by avoiding the matter. Threatened when deal was cancelled The victim later spoke about cancelling the deal and taking the money back. Goldy refused and said he wanted more money in exchange for the plot. He also threatened the victim with consequences if the remaining amount was not paid. After this, the victim complained to senior officials and an FIR was filed against Goldy on Thursday. Goldy Rathore is a resident of Assembly No. 1. He is considered a supporter of former MLA Sudarshan Gupta. In January 2023, the BJP appointed him as the Divisional Co-Media In-Charge. Police is investigating the entire matter.
