India Women to play 5 T20Is against South Africa:Series scheduled in April, ICC T20 World Cup in England from June 12

Before the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Team India will now play a 5 match T20 series in South Africa. All five matches will be held between April 17 and 27 in Durban, Johannesburg, and Benoni. The ICC tournament will be played in England from June 12. India will also play against Australia
After winning the ODI World Cup in November 2025, Team India played a T20 series against Sri Lanka in December. India won it by 5-0. The team will now play an ODI and T20 series against Australia in February-March. Then, after playing against South Africa in April, the team will also play a T20 series against the home team in England just before the World Cup. South Africa will also clash with 2 teams
South Africa is scheduled to play T20I and ODI series against Pakistan in February-March. The team will tour New Zealand in March-April, then returning home, will play 5 T20Is against India. 2 matches will be held in Durban on April 17 and 19. 2 matches will be played in Johannesburg on April 22 and 25. And on April 27, the last T20 will take place in Benoni. South Africa and India in the Same Group
The Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in England from June 12. Both South Africa and India are in Group 1. This group will also include Australia, Pakistan, and 2 teams coming from the qualifier stage. South Africa has been losing finals in the last 3 ICC World Cups. The team lost to Australia and New Zealand in the T20 tournament, while in ODIs, India defeated them in the title match. On the other hand, India Women reached the T20 World Cup final only once in 2020, but there they faced defeat against Australia.
