Shubman Gill set to appear in Ranji-Trophy’s second round:Cricketer to play against Saurashtra; Ravindra Jadeja may also make appearance

Team India’s ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill will be seen playing the second round of the Ranji Trophy. According to a Cricbuzz report, Gill is set to travel to Rajkot after playing the final ODI against New Zealand in Indore. There, his home team, Punjab, is scheduled to play its sixth match of the league stage against Saurashtra. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja might also play for Saurashtra in this match. Ranji Trophy second round match to kick off on January 22 After the Indore ODI on 18th January, Shubman reached Delhi on Monday morning with some of the team’s players. From there, he boarded a flight for Rajkot. Punjab is set to face the home team Saurashtra in Group B on 22nd January. Naman Dhir will captain the team. Punjab Cricket confirms Gill featuring in Ranji games A source from the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) told Cricbuzz, “Gill is going to play in the Ranji Trophy; he will be seen playing against Saurashtra. The Indian captain has committed to the tournament; he will travel 8 hours by air for the domestic match.” Jadeja will also play Ranji match Along with Gill, ODI team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will also be seen playing the second round of the Ranji Trophy. He will face Punjab on behalf of Saurashtra. On the other hand, players of India’s T20 team have reached Nagpur for the first match against New Zealand.
