In Satna, bike riders fired at an auto driver. The bullet came towards the auto driver, but hit the mobile phone kept in his pant pocket. This saved his life. He sustained minor injuries to his thigh. After this, the accused fled while firing in the air. Police have apprehended them. The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 6 PM on Rewa Road. According to information, Vidyasagar alias Kallu (24), a resident of Purainia Kripalpur, was going from the bus stand to his village in an auto, with his acquaintance Manish Rajak. On the way, near the Mahindra agency, the auto had a slight collision with a white colored bike. At this, three youths riding the bike got enraged. They started verbally abusing him. As a crowd gathered at the spot, the accused youths left after threatening to kill him. A while later, Vidyasagar was drinking tea with his companion at a shack near Gehra Nala. Just then, four youths arrived on a bike. One of them pulled out a pistol and fired at Vidyasagar. Bullet struck the mobile phone
The bullet directly hit the mobile phone kept in Vidyasagar’s right pocket. After hitting the mobile, the bullet grazed his thigh and exited. Because of this, he sustained minor injuries. Due to the firing, Vidyasagar got scared and fell down. The accused fired in the air to create fear among people and fled on a bike. Manish, with the help of the police, took the injured Vidyasagar to the hospital, where he was treated. Doctors declared his condition out of danger. Police detained four accused
Based on the victim’s statement, police registered a case of attempted murder against four accused, including Kaushik Singh and Shubham Singh. CSP Devendra Pratap Singh informed that all four accused have been taken into custody late at night and are being interrogated.
