Pakistan-born USA cricketer Ali Khan has revealed that his India visa has been ‘denied’. Ali Khan is one of the most important members of the USA cricket team that will be in action at the T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. The USA have been placed in Group A of the T20 World Cup, alongside hosts India, Pakistan, Namibia and the Netherlands. The team will start their T20 World Cup campaign against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 7 February. Ali Khan, so far, has played 18 T20Is where he has picked up 16 wickets at an economy rate of 8.44. Earlier, England spinner Shoaib Bashir, whose origin is also from Pakistan, had his visa denied before a Test series in India. Bashir’s visa was eventually accepted, but the young spinner had to return to England with his passport, which caused him to miss the first Test.
