Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to play their home games at two venues for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. The defending champions of the IPL will shift their base to Navi Mumbai, while a couple of their matches will also be played in Raipur. According to a report from TOI, RCB management decided to move out of the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru following the deadly stampede during their trophy parade last year. The report claims that RCB officials have finalised their two venues; Navi Mumbai will host five games of the Rajat Patidar-led side. Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium will host two matches in the upcoming season. RCB are not the only franchise who have decided to shift base; the Rajasthan Royals are also going to play their matches at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The IPL franchise had a disagreement with the officials of the cricket administrative body in Jaipur. RCB, RR get new home venues ahead of IPL 2026 After RCB’s trophy celebration following their maiden title triumph, fans flocked to the Chinnaswamy Stadium to celebrate with the players, but the government officials weren’t informed prior. Chaos erupted at the venue, with 11 people killed and many others were left injured. RCB have thus decided to move to Navi Mumbai, with Raipur also due to host a couple of their home games. The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai is also hosting WPL matches during the ongoing season. Since the deadly stampede, the Chinnaswamy Stadium hasn’t hosted any international matches. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has been trying hard to bring back top-flight cricket to the venue, having held meetings with the state government recently. Vijay Hazare Trophy matches were due to be played at the stadium, but were later shifted to the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence.
