Tesla India has announced plans to open its fourth showroom in Bengaluru. The company shared the update on X, posting, “See you soon in Namma Bengaluru.” This marks another step in Tesla’s rapid expansion across India. The electric vehicle giant already operates showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai, and Gurugram, and is now extending its footprint to Karnataka. Bengaluru Showroom: What We Know So Far Tesla has not yet revealed the exact opening date of the Bengaluru showroom. However, the move reflects the company’s focus on South India’s fast-growing EV market. As a major IT and startup hub, Bengaluru is home to a large base of high-net-worth individuals and EV enthusiasts, making it a strategic location for Tesla. Social Media Buzz The announcement has sparked excitement on X. One user commented, “Welcome to Namma Bengaluru,” while another wrote, “Bengaluru has a wealthy Tesla fan base—this is going to be amazing.” List of Existing Tesla Showrooms in India Model Y: Delivery Timeline and Pricing Tesla has introduced the Model Y in India, with prices starting at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are expected to begin by September, with Delhi-NCR and Mumbai as priority markets. Bengaluru is also expected to join the delivery network soon. The Model Y is available in two variants: RWD and Long Range RWD. Expansion of Supercharging Network Alongside showroom expansion, Tesla is investing in charging infrastructure. The company installed its first Supercharger at DLF Horizon Centre, Gurugram, in December last year. Tesla now plans to expand its Supercharging network across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, aiming to offer seamless and sustainable mobility to customers. Tesla’s India Journey Tesla had been planning its India entry for several years, but high import duties and regulatory hurdles caused delays. After receiving exemptions under the government’s EV policy in 2025, the company began operations in Mumbai. Since then, Tesla has been rapidly expanding its showrooms and charging infrastructure. Currently, Tesla’s focus remains on brand building and demand assessment, and no manufacturing plans in India have been announced yet.
