Record-breaking cold continues in January This winter, Madhya Pradesh has witnessed extreme cold. November saw the coldest weather in 84 years, while December broke a 25-year record. January is following the same trend, with temperatures dropping below zero in several areas. Meteorological experts report that the state is experiencing intense cold, dense fog, and cold waves. Cold in January is historically significant due to northern winds, which frequently sweep across the state, causing a sharp drop in temperature. Active Western Disturbances often bring winter rains during this month. Data from the last decade shows repeated cold and rainfall trends across major cities.
