Man beaten to death with stone in Jabalpur:Attackers drag victim to bus stand after morning dispute; police form 3 teams to nab suspects

A young auto-rickshaw driver was killed in a brutal attack in Jabalpur early Wednesday morning. The murder happened after a brief argument with a group of youths. Dragged to bus stand and killed The victim has been identified as Akash, also known as Pappu. He worked as an auto driver. He left his home around 5.30 am on Wednesday. Soon after, he got into an argument with some youths in Khinni Mohalla. According to locals, three to four youths dragged Akash towards the regional bus stand. There, they hit him on the head with a stone, killing him on the spot. The attackers fled after the incident. Family and police rush to spot After receiving information, Akash’s family members reached the scene. Police from Gohalpur police station also arrived and secured the area. Gohalpur police station in-charge Ritesh Pandey said a murder case has been registered, and three police teams have been formed to catch the accused. Victim had no known enmity Residents said Akash had no old rivalry with anyone. His mother does not know the attackers by name but said she could identify them if shown. People in the area have demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. Residents express anger over crime Local resident Neeraj Chaudhary said crimes are rising in Jabalpur. He claimed the police have failed to create fear among criminals. He said the killers are still absconding, which shows a breakdown of law and order. .
